As the leading light of Croatia since the Middle Ages, Zagreb boasts a resplendent sprinkling of medieval, Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture and a good dose of cultural sensitivities pouring out of its compact city centre. At the same time, as the capital of an independent and rejuvenated nation after the warring years of the former Yugoslavia, she is also vivaciously focused on the future. Bursting at the seams with trendsetting music, arts and gastronomical offerings and a slew of splendid outdoor playgrounds of the nature kind, this year-round and all-round destination is now pulling out all the stops for a piece of the travellers pie. Join Chan Brothers Travel Private Tours on your very own customised Zagreb and Croatia tour package and experience this shining light of a city for yourself.
Soar above Zagreb
Boasting enviable weather and the clearest blue skies most of the year, Croats are in love with their nation’s climate, and what better way to enjoy this than be in the midst of it all. Skydiving in Zagreb takes on a whole different meaning when you have the sparkling blue sky above you, fluffy white clouds around you and the breathtaking panorama of Zagreb’s famous architectural gems beneath you. It’s a colourful spectacle and an unmissable highlight if you are the sort that likes to soar above it all.

Arena of adrenaline
Croatia’s coat of arms uncannily resembles the black and white checks of the racing flag and while it may just be a design coincidence, Croats’ passion towards life and the love of excitement could also be symbolic characteristics that may have played an influencing part in the creation of their national flag. Whether fact or fiction, while we go along this line, perhaps it is also no surprise that go-karting has emerged to become one of Zagrebians’ favourite activities to let it all loose. At Karting Arena, speed lovers can have first-hand experience racing down the region’s finest indoor and outdoor tracks, and feel like a Formula 1 driver. Try this for yourself and a new you may emerge – valiant and zealous, just like the people of Zagreb.

Mountaineering Medvednica
A short 20-minute car ride north from Zagreb’s city centre, the magnificent Mount Medvednica offers locals and travellers alike the easiest escape from the city. Whether summer or winter, the wooded forests or the sharp snowy slopes, city slickers are constantly enticed to this nature playground for a spot of adventure. In the warmer months, hike up the trails for rolling green views and panoramas of red-roofed villages, or you may choose to journey further to the medieval fortress of Medvedgrad. Comes winter, Mount Medvednica whitens up and ready itself for a thrilling season of ski fun.
