The main sights of the twin cities of Buda and Pest include Heroes’ Square, a magnificent reminder of Hungary’s influence in the celebrated Austro-Hungarian Empire, Fisherman’s Bastion and Gellert Hill, all of which offer panoramic views of the city. Afterwards, you can spend your time at leisure or take a stroll along Danube River, which pulses through the heart of Central and Eastern Europe. Then drive to Vienna, known as the “City of Music” and a place that inspired the creative genius of Mozart, Beethoven and Strauss. This afternoon, board the MS Amadeus Queen. In the evening, enjoy a sumptuous welcome dinner hosted by the captain onboard the ship.

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

This morning, there is much to see and do in impressive Imperial Vienna. Embark on a city tour to view significant landmarks from Ringstrasse to Opera House, Hofburg, Parliament Building, Town Hall and Burgtheater. Burgtheater was largely destroyed in a bombing raid in 1945 and a month later, on April 12, 1945, it was further damaged by a fire of unknown origin. Thereafter, head to a major Viennese attraction, Schonbrunn Palace. Schonbrunn Palace is part of the World Cultural Heritage and Austria's most visited attraction. This Baroque synthesis of different arts, consisting of a palace and gardens, has been in the possession of the Habsburgs for centuries, and has been restored to its original condition. You will find numerous attractions from a tour, through the authentically furnished residential and representational rooms of the imperial family in the palace, a labyrinth in the garden to a separate children's museum. The palace and gardens reflect the tastes, interests and aspirations of successive Habsburg monarchs. In the afternoon, shop till you drop at the famous shopping street, Karntnerstrasse, and be sure to take a break and enjoy a piece of decadent Sachertorte or Apfelstrudel in one of the classic Viennese coffee houses, which are historic institutions that helped shape Viennese culture!

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Visit the spectacular Melk Abbey, a historic Austrian Benedictine abbey located above the town of Melk atop a rock outcrop overlooking the Danube River. Built between 1702 and 1736, it is one of the most magnificent Baroque architecture in Austria. The abbey’s church and library, with its countless medieval manuscripts and frescos, are particularly noteworthy. A guided tour takes you through the abbot’s chambers, along the imperator’s walk and through the marble hall, balconies and library.
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

This morning, explore Passau, a city and old town which unites three converging rivers, Danube, Inn, and Ilz. Stroll down the cobblestone streets of Old Town, New Bishop’s Residence, Town Hall, and Passau Christmas Market located near the magnificent cathedral, home to the largest pipe organ in Europe. At the Christmas Market, you will find intricately-manufactured crafts, including Bavarian-style miniature houses and glass ornaments. Discover how gingerbread is made, and have a taste of this famous holiday treat, or sip original Christmas mulled wine out of festively decorated Christmas mugs.

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today, visit Regensberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated along the Danube River. It is also one of the most well-preserved medieval towns in Europe. Embark on a sightseeing tour of the St Peter’s Cathedral, known for its magnificent stained-glass windows, the Old Town Hall and the famous 12th century Stone Bridge. In the afternoon, visit Walhalla, a hall of fame that honors laudable and distinguished people in German history. It is located on a hill besides Danube River, from the temple you will have a great view of the Danube River and its surroundings. Then, have a magical time at one of the most romantic Christmas markets, located in the courtyard of the The Thurn and Taxis Palace.

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today, visit the historic town of Nuremberg, Bavaria’s second largest city and one of the highest amongst the world’s most liveable towns. During the reconstruction work following the devastation of the Second World War, the style of the old town was maintained. Ringed walls, towers and the castle provide a vivid image of the town as it may have looked during the medieval times. Then, explore Nazi party rally grounds and learn about the city during the Third Reich and the famous Nuremberg trails that took place after World War II. Next, visit Nuremberg Christmas Market to discover over 200 wooden stalls showcasing signature toys and glittering gifts. Soak up the festive atmosphere filled with distinct aroma of gingerbread and a German-style sweet and spicy hot mulled wine, known as Gluhwein. In the evening, celebrate a wonderful trip with your travel companions at a farewell dinner hosted by the captain of the cruise.

Breakfast/Dinner

Continue to Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the southwest of the Czech Republic. Embark on a walking tour of the Old Town starting at the landmark of the region, the State Castle of Cesky Krumlov, which dominates the town centre and looms over red-tile roofs, stone bridges and labyrinth cobbled streets. Picture-perfect houses with distinctly odd outlines crowd hills and banks of Vlatava River that snakes through the heart of the city. Arrive in the city of Karlovy Vary, sometimes known by the German name of Karlsbad or Carlsbad. The town is historically famous for its hot springs and hence being the most visited spa town in the Czech Republic.

Breakfast/Dinner

This morning, visit Moser Glassworks and Museum, where beautiful crystal ware is made. You may opt to admire the elegant spa colonnades and fountains around the city while sampling some of the reputedly curative thermal spring waters and light spa wafers or taste some of Karlovy’s legendary herbal liqueur at your own expense. Continue your journey to Prague, the capital and administrative, cultural, business and industrial centre of Czech Republic. Built along the Vltava River, the longest river in Czech Republic, Prague is also one of the most beautifully preserved cities in Europe.

Breakfast

Begin your morning in Prague on a majestic note with a visit to Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world, St Vitus Cathedral, the biggest and most important church in the country, Golden Lane and famous Wenceslas Square, which is the hub of cultural, social and business activities in Prague. Not to be missed is Astronomical Clock, where a crowd gathers at the start of every hour to admire the procession of the Apostles and other allegorical figures. Take a stroll on the medieval Charles Bridge, the symbol of the city of Prague, and admire the baroque statues that flank both sides of the bridge. After lunch, spend your day at leisure to explore this historical city further.

Breakfast/Meals on Board

If time permits, of course there is always last-minute shopping before bidding “Ahoj” to Czech Repulic as you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
