This morning, explore Gaomei Wetlands, where the land and sea
meets. It is a grassy and muddy tidal flat where you can catch the sea breeze
and spot hundreds of crabs, mud-skippers, and rare birds! Thereafter, make your
way to Nantou, which is home to the largest body of water in Taiwan, Sun
Moon Lake. Sail across the lake on a leisure cruise to appreciate
its beauty and tranquillity. Make a stop at an aboriginal specialty product center. End the day at Wenwu
Temple, located on the north side of Sun Moon Lake. This imposing temple
structure has faux northern Chinese-style temple architecture and superb
natural lookouts.

Breakfast/Taiwanese Cuisine Dinner
Today, visit Cona's
Chocolate Castle, a European-style fairy-tale castle to learn
how chocolate is made from scratch with interactive displays. After learning
about the history of cocoa and the production process of chocolate, join the DIY chocolate session,
become a "little chocolatier" and make your own unique chocolate.
Next, make your way to Miaoli to explore the Nanzhuang Old
Street which also known as Osmanthus Alley.
You can find delicious food and snacks as well as little souvenirs at this historical
red-tiled street. Later, continue to Hsinchu. Find and taste savoury snacks at Chenghuang Temple Food Street before returning to the hotel to enjoy family-friendly facilities such
as Lego Island children’s playroom and indoor pool and spa catered for both
parents and children.

Breakfast/Yilan-style Cuisine Lunch
After breakfast, transfer to Yilan and start your day on a
fun-filled note at a local farm in Sanxing and learn the ropes of
farming with a spring onion farming experience. You will also enjoy a DIY
spring onion pie session in this town regarded as one of the prime
producers of vegetables in Taiwan. Moving on, learn the history of logging in Taiwan at Luodong Forestry
Culture Park. It was formerly used as Taipingshan’s Forestry Luodong Branch,
you can explore the old Japan’s agency office, director’s residence, laborers’
club, old vehicle inspection garage, staff dormitory, fortress, and log storage
pool which have been listed as the country’s historical assets. Next, proceed to Duck Shack Museum to learn about different duck species and the stories and culture of duck
raising. Entrance ticket can be exchanged for animal feed to enjoy ducks feeding at the outdoor interactive area. This evening, savour mouth-watering delicacies of different
cuisines at the lively Luodong
Night Market. The long day will come to an end when you check-in to a hot
spring resort, where you can rejuvenate yourself in either the public hot
spring or your in-room hot spring tub.

Breakfast/Taiwanese Cuisine Lunch
Today, head to Taiwan’s cultural, economic, and political centre, Taipei.
Your first stop will be Jiufen, a former gold mining village packed with
teahouses and shops offering local delicacies and crafts. Next, visit and see
the local residents’ humble life at Pingxi Old Street. At this quaint
old street, you can find traditional houses untouched by modernity along both
sides of the railway on the slanted hillside, and hear rumbling sound whenever
the train passes the railway above the street. Don’t miss out the charming Jingtong
Railway Station, one of the oldest wooden train stations in Taiwan, giving
off bouts of nostalgia. Here, you can experience the simple joy of lighting
and releasing sky lanterns with your fellow travellers. Make a wish and may
all your wishes come true. Stopover at a Pearl Cultural Centre before you indulge
in an exciting assortment of clothing stalls, game stations, and food stalls at
Ningxia Night Market.

After breakfast, make your way to Chiang
Kai-shek Memorial Hall, erected in honour and memory of its namesake. It
encompasses a variety of biodiversity and garden landscaping, making it a fine
place for visitors to both enjoy cultural sightseeing and get close to nature. Stopover at a Pixiu
Lucky Charm Centre before moving to Tamsui Old Street, a boardwalk-like
area full of shops, carnival games, restaurants, cafés, and local snacks. The
far end of old street opens onto the Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf, where the
not-to-be-missed Lover’s Bridge is located. Visit a Tea
Cultural Centre to find out how and why Taiwan is immersed in tea. Tonight,
immerse yourself in the vibrant ambience of Ximending, the famed
entertainment and shopping area, and the mecca for youth culture in Taipei.
