After breakfast, depart Senja and drive towards Svolvaer. Along the way, you will have many opportunities to stop to experience wild nature, immerse yourself in local culture and marvel at the stunning winter landscape. Head to Bardu and visit Polar Park, the world’s northernmost animal park. See Arctic animals such as wolves, brown bears, lynxes, arctic foxes, elk and reindeers up close. Tonight, head to Svolvaer, the capital of the Lofoten Islands, for your overnight stay. Renowned for its dramatic scenery, Lofoten is situated just beneath the Auroral Oval, a belt that encircles the geomagnetic poles and provides some of the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights. If it is a clear night, you might be lucky to spot the Northern Lights dancing across the sky just outside your accommodation.

Today, go on a go on a scenic drive to discover the raw, unparalleled beauty of Lofoten Islands. Enjoy the incredible scenery along the roads, which offers many impressive photo-taking opportunities. Make a stop at Henningsvaer, often called Venice of Lofoten for its artistic vibes. Here, marvel at the sharp mountain peaks and crisp, clear waters surround the village. Continue on your drive to Nusfjord, one of Norway’s oldest and best-preserved fishing village, scattered with delightful yellow and red fisherman cabins – traditionally known as rorbuers. Next, head to the breathtaking village of Reine, located on the island of Moskenes, also known as the Most Beautiful Place in the World. Tonight, head over to Gimsoy for your 1-night accommodation in a deluxe seaside lodge overlooking a beautiful white beach. With no light pollution and an open view to the north, you may be lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights from the comfort of your lodge.

This morning, go on an sea eagle safari by rib boat and experience the magnificent Lofoten Islands by sea. Head out on a rib boat to the magical Trollfjord, where you can see the sea eagles up close. Here, you can find a large population of sea eagles and a highlight of the tour is when the sea eagle orbits a few metres above your boat. This is the world’s largest eagle, with a wingspan of up to 265cm. Continue your journey to Sortland and visit a Sami reindeer farm, where you will have the chance to meet and feed the reindeers. Savour traditional Sami food in a lavvu, the Sami equivalent of a Native American tepee, and listen to stories about the Sami culture from traditional reindeer herders. Tonight, cross over to Harstad where the skies are especially clear and great for observing the Northern Lights.

Today, make your journey back to Tromso. In the evening, begin your search for the mysterious Aurora Borealis on a Northern Lights hunting tour. Together with Northern Lights experts, depart from Tromso city centre and drive to where the best weather conditions for the night are expected. On the journey, you will also learn about Northern Lights and how to photograph them. If weather permits, you may be lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights, have your photos taken by a professional photographer and receive memorable portraits of your exclusive Northern Lights experience.

This morning, embark on a city tour to discover the city’s architectural masterpiece, Arctic Cathedral. Head to Tromso Cathedral, one of the largest wooden cathedrals in Norway built in the Gothic Revival style. Take the Fjellheisen cable car ride up to Mt Storsteinen, for a panoramic view of Tromso.

Today, enjoy your free day in Tromso. Traverse the vast Arctic wilderness according to your interests! You may opt for winter activities such as a snowmobile safari or a unique whale watching safari at your own expense.
