Meals on Board/Dinner
Upon arrival, continue our journey to Genoa, Italy’s largest seaport and the gateway to the French Rivieria for your overnight stay.
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
This morning, travel to Nice and discover this beautiful city with its fabulous beaches and beautiful coastline with mesmerizing views. Then, drive to Monte Carlo, the capital of the Principality of Monaco, located at the base of the Maritime Alps along the French Rivieria. Soak up the history of the city as you walk along the narrow streets of the old town and head to Prince’s Palace of Monaco to admire the splendor of the 17th-century architecture and 15th-century frescoes. Then, drive along the flagship circuit of the Formula 1 season - the Grand Prix circuit - as you make your way to the famous Casino Café de Paris surrounded by two beautiful outdoor gardens. Continue to Marseille for your overnight stay.
Breakfast/Dinner
After breakfast, head to Coustellet and visit The Lavender Museum. Discover the history of lavender, the distillation of this ancient plant and its role in medicines and perfumes in the past 4,000 years. Next, continue your journey to the medieval city of Carcassonne. Dating back to 6th century BC, the city underwent destruction and restoration multiple times; but today it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being one of the most accomplished fortified towns in Europe.
Breakfast/French Cassoulet Lunch/Dinner
Today, go on a scenic drive to the beautiful city of Toulouse. Enjoy a guided city tour of Toulouse, the fourth largest city in France, partly because of the aerospace industry. In fact, it is the largest centre for aerospace in all of Europe as it is the home of the European Airbus headquarters, the SPOT satellite, and the French space agency. Visit The Space City (Cite de l'Espace) where you can realize your dreams of visiting space without having to undergo years of astronaut training. Here, you can explore inside a space station or space rocket; try on a space suit; and experience the sensation of walking on the moon.
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
This morning, travel to Bay of Arcachon, an hour’s drive from the charming city of Bordeaux. Bay of Arcachon is the perfect vacation destination and a paradise for oyster and seafood aficionados. Relish in the amazingly fresh oysters and learn the various ways of preparing this delicacy, including the local method of steaming the oysters over a bed of pine needles. Thereafter, return to Bordeaux. Enjoy some free time to explore the old town at leisure before you embark on the Croisi Europe Cruise to start our journey along the Gironde River.
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
This morning, travel to Cussac Fort Medoc, a town in the Gironde. More than half of the agricultural area of the locality is dedicated to the vineyard, producing Haut-Medoc appellation wines. Enjoy a wine-tasting session at Chateau d’Arsac, one of the oldest wine estates of the Medoc region. Chateau d’Arsac has a rich history that spans back over nine hundred years to the twelfth century. This afternoon, witness the iconic Fort Medoc, this historic defensive structure is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The structure is made up of three defensive fortresses, designed to close the navigation channels to potential invaders, but since the site was constructed, the Gironde has been largely impenetrable. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure to explore this heritage town or simply relax.
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Continue to Blaye, whose Citadel built by Vauban is not to be missed. Enjoy a guided tour of this famous Fortress of Blaye, built in the 17th century by Vauban, who is the famous engineer of King Louis XIV. This citadel, which overlooks the Gironde estuary is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. Besides the Citadel, Blaye is also well known for the red wine produced in the surrounding region. Stop by a local vineyard and enjoy a wine-tasting session to sample some of the Blaye Cotes De Bordeaux Wine, and wine that you will not find elsewhere. This afternoon, explore the historic town of Blaye at your own leisure. You may choose to cycle through vineyard-laced countryside, walk through ancient villages, or just sip world-renowned wines.
Breakfast/Lunch/Farewell Dinner
Today, cruise to Libourne, a town rich with history and full of character located at the confluence the Isle and the Dordogne Rivers. Admire the Church of Saint-Jean, its Grand Port Tower, and its arcaded square, Place Abel Surchamp. The latter which is both vast and elegant is surrounded by ancient facades, among which stands the 15th-century town hall. Thereafter, enjoy a winery tour and learn more about vinification techniques and aging in barrels, and ends with a wine tasting. Then, head to St Emilion, also famous for its vineyards and elegant wines as well as its UNESCO World Heritage listed town with its breathtaking architectural gems and monuments. Stop by a local vineyard for a wine-tasting session to sample some of the exquisite wines produced in this region. In the evening, celebrate a wonderful trip with your travel companions at a farewell dinner hosted by the captain of the cruise.
Breakfast/Dinner
This morning, disembark from the cruise and return to Bordeaux to board the TGV high-speed train ride to Paris. Upon arrival, embark on a city tour and immerse in some of the most iconic sights of this timeless city - Napoleon’s Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees Boulevard and Eiffel Tower. This evening, you may wish to take an excursion cruise along the romantic River Seine at your own expense.
Breakfast
Today, spend the day at leisure to explore the city. Shopaholics might want to head back to Champs Elysees Boulevard for more retail therapy.
