Depart Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Alice Springs, one of Australia’s most famous outback towns.

Upon arrival, collect your car at the airport. Drive towards Glen Helen Gorge, a former cattle station and the perfect base to explore the West MacDonnell Ranges region from. This afternoon, discover West MacDonnell National Park and its variety of plants, wildlife, tranquil waterholes and sheltered gorges. Observe rock wallabies out and about the steep ridges of Simpsons Gap, site of one of the most prominent waterholes in the region. Thereafter, take a stroll to Standley Chasm and watch its steep walls blaze red in the midday sun. Behold stunning views of the narrow and winding Serpentine Gorge from a lookout above the cliffs. Take a dip in the refreshing waters of Ellery Creek Big Hole, Ormiston Gorge, Redbank Gorge or picturesque Glen Helen Gorge, an ideal place to pitch a tent to watch the sunset. En route to Kings Canyon, stop by Tnorala Conversation Reserve for a view of the magnifi cent crater. Also known as Gosse Bluff, the reserve is culturally significant to the Western Arrernte aboriginal people. According to aboriginal belief, the crater was formed when a group of women dropped a baby onto earht while dancing across the Milky Way. Continue your journey along the unsealed Mereenie Loop Road towards Kings Canyon in Waterrka National park, where you can spend the night in a resort or wilderness lodge. Embark on a trek to the summit of Kings Canyon and be enthralled by sweeping views of the sheer sandstone cliffs, palm-filled crevices, valley fl oor and desert. You will get to admire rare plants from a long gone wetter age. Invigorate yourself with a swim in the waterholes of the Garden of Eden and explore the weathered rock domes of the Lost City. Not to be missed is the magnifi cent sunset at Carmichael Crag. Take a leisurely stroll to Kathleen Springs, a spring-fed waterhole or trek overnight on the Giles Track. This morning, watch the rising sun light over Uluru, a world-renowned sandstone monolith. Embrace its splendour over a breakfast of billy tea and freshly baked beer bread. Go on the Mala or Mutitjulu Walk with an Anangu aboriginal guide to gain insight into Dreamtime, the essence of their society, culture, traditions and spirituality. Uluru is believed to have been created by ancestors of the aboriginal people. Be awed by the steep, rounded, russet domes of nearby Kata-Tjuta National Park on the Valley of the Winds Walk. This morning, enjoy a 1-hour camel ride through Ilparpa Valley up close to the West MacDonnell Ranges. Experience the tradition of cameleers in Central Australia with a knowledgeable local guide as you ride these ships of the desert.
