Kangaroo Valley has plenty to offer for those who like the great outdoors or who are simply active and adventurous. Try kayaking or canoeing up to the upper reaches of the Kangaroo River. Explore Kangaroo Valley which is listed under National Trust as a world preservation site and home to Pioneer Museum Park. Alternatively, walk across Hampden Bridge, a grand medieval design suspension bridge and picnic by the river. You can also take your time to stroll along the galleries and antique shops in the village or drive up to Cambewarra Mountain Lookout for the best ocean andvalley views.

This morning, travel to Jervis Bay and embark on a dolphin watch cruise. Be enthralled by the acrobatic antics of the humpback whales. Whale watching tours are highly recommended during June, July, September, October and November. This morning, stop by Kiama Blowhole, where plumes of water can rise up to 60 metres high as they force through the blowhole. Thereafter, you may get closer to nature at Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk in Robertson or visit Nan Tien Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere. Then, enjoy some beer and tuck into a hearty lunch at Five Islands Brewing Company, a beachside eatery or other restaurants in Wollongong. Thereafter, drive along Sea Cliff Bridge, which is part of the scenic Grand Pacifi c Drive. Not to be missed are photo stops at Austinmer Beach and Flagstaff Hill, which offer lovely views of Wollongong Harbour. Later, drive along Princes Highway and exit at Stanwell Tops to arrive at Bald Hill. You can watch deathdefying hang gliders and paragliders in action.
