This morning, drive towards Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest wine production region that is a must visit for wine connoisseurs. Upon arrival, you may wish to take a wine appreciation class, shop for local produce or visit some of the oldest wine families on a wine-tasting tour. This evening, partake in a cooking class and prepare your dinner with local organic produce. Thereafter, proceed to Hunter Valley Gardens to experience the Christmas Lights Spectacular, Australia’s biggest Christmas light display.

Depart Hunter Valley for Port Stephens, known for its nature and abundance of marine life. Port Stephens boasts an abundance of land activities on its pristine sandy beaches, sheltered bays and unspoilt national parks.

This morning, drive towards the scenic Stockton Beach to experience a sandboarding and 4WD adventure. Later, hop onto a dolphin watch cruise and keep an eye out for these lovely creatures while you enjoy the sea breeze. In the evening, visit Sunset Beach in Anna Bay and dine at one of the restaurants to tuck into locally caught fresh seafood and enjoy a superb view of the sunset.

This morning, head northwards for Port Macquarie where you can visit the unique Koala Hospital. Nambucca Heads lies in the centre of the North Coast region, famous for its surf beaches and fresh seafood such as oysters. Do not forget to leave your mark on the Vee Wall rock art gallery before moving on to Coffs Harbour. In Coffs Harbour, you will be spoilt for choice with a wide variety of activities ranging from helicopter rides to waterslides and ice skating. A trip to Coffs Harbour is never complete unless you have visited the iconic Big Banana.

This morning, visit Dolphin Marine Magic and to get up close with dolphins or seals. Thereafter, continue your journey to Byron Bay, place of outstanding natural beauty set against lush volcanic hills. You may wish to luxuriate yourself with a rejuvenating massage therapy or yoga session. Take a short scenic drive into Bryon’s hinterland and visit the magical Crystal Castle and Shambhala Gardens, home to a 4-metre high blessing Buddha. Walk among Gods through the famous Buddha Walk lined with rose quartz and hand carved statues.

This morning, you may wish to proceed for parasailing which takes you 100 metres above a breathtaking seascape. Thereafter, drive towards the exciting city of Gold Coast. En route, stop by Ballina and experience close encounters with the many birds at Australian Seabird Rescue. Alternatively, visit Tropical Fruit World in Tweed Heads. Upon arrival, you may spend a fun-filled day at Dreamworld, Movie World or Sea World. Your entry pass to the theme park includes all rides and attractions.
Depart Gold Coast for Brisbane today. If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you return your car at the airport and take your flight home.
