This morning, you may wish to explore Jeju Stone Park, a cultural and ecological park that displays the history of stone culture pivotal to the culture and history of Jeju Island. After that, head to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed more than 100,000 years ago. The peak features a crater surrounded by sharp, jagged rocks. Next, proceed to Maze Land, the world’s longest stone maze. Furthermore, the park, with its variety of trees that are several decades old, is the perfect place for what the Koreans term as “forest bathing” – people surround themselves in nature (particularly trees) to soak in all their natural benefits. End the day with a visit to another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Manjanggul Cave, which is one of the finest lava tunnels in the world with a variety of interesting structures, such as lava stalactites, lava stalagmites, and lava tube tunnels.

Today, you may wish to head to Sanbangsan Mountain – the result of violent volcanic activity from thousands of years back and is a huge body of lava. Do not miss Bomunsa Temple and Sanbangsa Temple, which holds relics of Buddha. Walk along the stone steps between the two temples and you will find Sanbanggulsa Grotto. Take a short break at O’sulloc Tea Museum, where you purchase and savor sweet treats of green tea flavor before moving on to Hallim Park, which has a variety of gardens that can be enjoyed in any season. Be sure to not miss the park’s two most famous tourist sites – Hyeopjaegul Cave and Ssangyonggul Cave – known to be the world’s only two-dimensional caves. Next, proceed to the nearby Hyeopjae Beach – the beautiful white sand that comes from the large amounts of crushed seashells that have been mixed in with the sand, cobalt colored seawater, and evergreen forests around the vicinity render the scenery beautiful. Wrap up your day with a visit to Yongduam Rock, which was created by strong winds and waves over thousands of years.
