Welcome to Switzerland, one of Europe’s perennially popular destinations. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a city tour which includes a stop at the Reformation Monument, a long wall, built against a 16C rampart with the statues of the four major figures of the reformation. Visit the Old Town with its many antique shops and art galleries, and the “Jet d’Eau“, highest fountain in the world and the symbol of Geneva.
This morning, travel towards, Bern the de facto capital of Switzerland and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a city sightseeing tour of this historic city with its splendid preserved arcaded Old Town. See the Gothic Cathedral, the fountains decorated with flowers and statues, the Clock Tower with the famous figure play, the House of Swiss Parliament and Bern's heraldic animals at the Bear Pit. Stop at the Rosegarden with a nice overall view of the Old Town, nestling in one of the loops of the Aare river.
Say goodbye to romantic Bern and we will drive towards Kanderstag home to the Oeschinen Lake and Lake Blausee. Enjoy a cable car ride before arriving in Oeschinen lake, deemed one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Alps that is nestled between glaciers and ancient pine forests. Next, visit Lake Blausee, a fairy-tale-like lake with a remarkable turquoise coloured water.
This morning, go on an excursion to Jungfraujoch. Begin your breathtakingscenic rail journey from the centre of Interlaken and embark on an unforgettable Alpine tour to the Jungfraujoch railway station. At an elevation of 3,454 metres, it is the highest railway station in Europe. In Lauterbrunnen, board the cogwheel train for an interesting mountain train ride via Kleine Schedeigg, which is at the foot of the famous Eiger’s north face. You can visit Ice Palace to enjoy an incredible world of eternal snow and ice. Thereafter, be enthralled by the picturesque panoramic view.
Today, continue our journey to Lucerne, which ranks amongst the world’s prettiest cities and is rich in sights and attractions. Visit the Jesuit Church, Chapel Bridge, a centre piece of the city’s townscape and stroll down the Old Town with beautiful architecture, statues, fountains surrounding you. Next visit the Lion Monument, carved from a limestone cliff in memory of the Swiss guards that died defending the French King.
Spend your day at Mount Rigi, famous for spectacular views of the Alps and its easy access. Hop onto a boat through the beautiful Lake Lucerne and reach Vitznau then change to cogwheel train to reach Rigi Klum, the highest peak of Mount Rigi. From here, you can enjoy a view of no fewer than 13 lakes and a regular “sea of peaks”, a 360-degree panorama that is truly the stuff of legend.
This morning we will visit the Rhine Falls, the largest waterfall in Western Europe. The Rhine Falls have a drop of around 23m and 150m wide making it a very large and impressive sight with immense volume of water passing through. After which spend the day at your leisure to explore Zurich.
If time permits, do some last minute shopping before being transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
