Depart Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Reykjavik.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the cosmopolitan city.
Today, embark on a guided city tour of Reykjavik. Visit the presidential residence at Bessastadir and the village of Hafnarfjordur, Iceland’s 3rd largest town and home of the ”hidden people” - elves, dwarves and other spirits. Then view other attractions like Perlan, Hofdi House, Laugardalur and the Parliament House. Continue to Hallgrimskirkja, the largest church in Iceland where the architectural design resembles the basalt lava flows of Iceland’s landscape. The church’s colossal pipe organ stands at 15 metres, filling the space with climatic notes. In the evening, go on a Northern Lights hunting tour in search of magnificent auroras. On a clear night, you may be lucky to spot the Northern Lights in dramatic shapes, colours, patterns and sizes swirling in a wild and carefree dance across the sky.
The Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and sighting is subject to weather conditions.
After breakfast, depart Reykjavik for a guided sightseeing tour to Golden Circle, a popular tourist route in Iceland. Stop by Thingvellir National Park, the first national park in Iceland and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue your journey to visit some of Iceland’s greatest natural attractions including the breathtaking two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall, hot springs of The Great Geysir and Strokkur, as well as the surrounding geothermal area.
This morning, head towards the South Coast of Iceland. Be enthralled by the picturesque Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall that plummets 200 feet into a deep plunge pool below. Next, enjoy a leisurely paced glacial hike on the ancient ice of Solheimajokull glacier with a knowledgable and certified glacier guide. View glorious Eyjafjallajokull Glacier, an ice-capped volcano that gained notoriety when it caused substantial disruption to air traffic across Europe in 2010. Continue your journey to the charming village of Vik to explore black sand beaches and picturesque rock formations of Reynisdrangar. Lastly, make a photography stop at the famous Skogafoss waterfall, regarded by many as the most spectacular waterfall in Iceland.
Begin your day with a visit to Blue Lagoon with your comfort package admission, reputed for the unique properties of the geothermal seawater in the lagoon. The geothermal spa water, which is about 37 to 39 degree celsius, contains minerals and salts which are said to be therapeutic for one’s well-being. Relax and unwind in the saunas and steam baths or get a natural massage under the Blue Lagoon waterfall. Thereafter, you may choose to dine at your own expense at “Café Blue” or by the stunning lava cliff in the restaurant “Lava”, which serves authentic Icelandic cuisines inspired by top Michelin restaurants.
If time permits, you can do some last minute shopping before you transfer to your airport for your flight home.
