Today, you will continue to Myra and into the town of Demre to visit the Tomb and Church of St Nicholas. This church has gained greater popularity since 1950 because of its association with Santa Claus. View Lycian rock-cut tombs dating back to 400 BC at Necropolis. Proceed to Kekova, one of the most fascinating spots along the Turkish Mediterranean coast. Take a boat ride to see half-submerged ruins of the city of Simena across the bay. View the modest fishermen cottages and the outstanding Lycian sarcophagi. |

Travel from Fethiye to Telmessos, known for its rock tombs that were carved into the faces of the cliffs by the Lycians. The most prominent one is Tomb of King Amyntas dating back to 400 BC. Next, visit the ruins of the Byzantine Castle. Proceed to Bodrum to visit the 14th-century Castle of Bodrum, built by the knights of St Jean. Visit its Museum of Underwater Archaeology to see a life-sized reproduction of a Byzantine shipwreck from the 7th century.
